How to choose the correct preform mould

Different weight products have completely different requirements Preform PET mould for hot runners.Plastic raw materials: Different plastic raw materials have different processing variables, and those processing variables will affect the choice of hot runner system. What is the number of like cavities? What is the nozzle distribution distance? What kind of material is processed? And so on. These are the mold elements related to the optional hot runner system.Fast production cycle means higher requirements for nozzles. For example, nozzles need to transfer heat accurately and be durable. For point gate, in order to maintain good thermal balance in each molding cycle, the tip of its heat flow nozzle must have the function of melting materials and cooling and sealing.

Valve gates use mechanical methods to seal the gates.Generally speaking, nozzles can be distinguished according to size, temperature distribution, physical characteristics, materials used  as well as ease of maintenance and price. The use of the hot runner system avoids the production of handles, which saves raw materials, and at the same time eliminates the need for manual, mechanical or other methods to remove the handles. Each nozzle must be connected to a relatively complicated temperature controllerPerformance of injection molding machine: can install a given size of mold, provide sufficient clamping force, operate according to the requirements of cycle time, plasticize enough materials.

Generally speaking, we all know that the product design is completed first, but the final molding is completed in the hot runner mold. In order to ensure a smooth product appearance at the end of molding and easy mold release, those factors must be considered in the product's structural design.PET preforms is an industry in which quality is essential. Localized change of color and ultra-low color percentages is one of the problems the PET preforms industries faces. And on top of this color has to be dosed in a main stream of dried main material of over 160°C.

This can be prevented by using a dosing unit which is extremely stable and accurate in combination with a special stainless steel neckpiece. Effective use of additives like masterbatch, powder and liquid colorants ensures producers of PET preforms the highest quality at the lowest cost. There are several options available to producers of PET preforms for dosing masterbatch, powder, regrind and liquid colorants. One can choose between gravimetric or volumetric technology. Movacolor’s modular design allows PET preform producers to choose a custom-made dosing unit that perfectly fits their specific type of production. The dosing unit is also easy to adjust or upgrade.
